The IRS is telling us we owe a HUGE amount of money that I don't believe we owe. My husband had to take early withdrawals from his 401k to help us through job losses, but they say he made a mistake in how he reported it. The IRS says it wasn't reported properly, but from what I can see, he used a tax software program to report, and it appears to me that he reported it the way he was supposed to.

We are in a recovery mode, having moved to a much cheaper apartment trying to pay off debts we racked up trying to survive multiple job losses, and now this!! PLEASE PRAY that God will help us to resolve these issues. If the IRS is charging us money we do not owe, please pray that God will help resolve it and get them to admit their mistake. If it's not a mistake, please pray my husband will communicate with me what I need to know to understand how we could possibly owe this much money.

Please pray too, that my husband will be given appropriate access at work so that he can do the job they are paying him for. That he will have a positive outlook in spite of the fact that he is not being given what he needs to do the work they hired him to do, that God will bless him at his job, and that they will hire him as a permanent worker if this is a good job for him. He needs to work at a job where he can get a pension, not be tossed around from one job to another all the time. We are getting older and our retirement money is gone.. PLEASE PRAY THE LORD WILL LEAD AND GUIDE US AND BLESS MY HUSBAND WITH GOOD PAY AND A STABLE JOB WITH A PENSION SO WE ARE NOT DEAD BROKE WHEN HE REACHES RETIREMENT AGE!

First, I want to praise God for His Grace and Mercy. I have done much in my life that has hurt many people. I have believed in Jesus Christ since I was a child. But I turned away from him for my own selfish desires. For many years, I sinned against God and others in my life. In my selfishness and without thought of others, I sank deeper into my sin. During all of this, I hurt many others, including members of my own family. I turned back to Jesus after being convicted for my crimes and my sins. For several years, I was faithful to God and was able to turn away from my sin. One day, I gave in to the temptations and once more fell into sin. I once again was arrested and spent time in prison. During that time, I prayed to both our heavenly Father and Jesus for forgiveness for all of my sins and all the hurt I caused others. I also prayed for healing that I would be cleansed of the temptations, sickness in me and the sin I carried in me. Although I still struggle with the temptation, Jesus has helped me to keep me from the sin of these temptations and has been healing me of the sickness that tempts me.

I have been in counseling for several years and now, as part of that counseling, I must confess to my children the sins of my past. I know that this will hurt them deeply and they will be very angry with me. I expect that they will no longer have anything to do with me. I do not know if they will understand or even accept the changes the Lord has made in me and in my life. James, in his Epistle, tells us to confess out sins and to pray for one another that we may be healed and John tells us that if we confess our sins, that Jesus will forgive us and cleanse us of our sin.

In the next two weeks, I will be confessing my sins to my children. I ask for prayers that Jesus will heal the hurt and the anger, will fill their hearts with His grace and love and that He will comfort them. I also ask for prayers for myself for the strength to confess to them and for Jesus to continue healing of me and to be able to accept whatever the outcome is.

His will be done.

Please pray for my husband Ed and me. We are Christians, married 35 years. In July of 2015 we moved in with his mom to help her because she has dementia. My husband was working his full time job and trying to prepare his mom's home when he suffered a heat stroke, or seizure, or something. Ultimately costing his job because of the resulting, multiple "blackouts" without warning and more than 17 migraines a month. He was placed on many medical restrictions, one of which includes not driving. He has had zero income since. 3 months later, I lost my job of 16 years, due to a mass layoff. I have applied for over 400 jobs and only had 5 interviews and the only place that would hire me is a part time job making minimum wage. We have lost our home, our jobs and now all our income. We have worked for 38 years and are thankful to be able to live in his mom's bedroom, but last month his siblings decided they "are at the end of their stress" with us not being able to pay for "all" her bills (we pay utilities and still have our own bills but aren't able to pay her taxes and insurance) and they are selling her home in January. My husband has been denied disability 3 times because he can still breathe on his own and walk without a cane. Currently, we are waiting to see if the final decision will be appealed and I can tell you the stress this has put on us is more than we can bear. We have prayed, been prayed for - pleaded for an open door - nothing. I have health issues of my own and other circumstances that keep me from being able to work more hours - I am the only driver for my husband and missing work 3 times a month for appointments poses another problem. It seems to be never ending - all we need is an open door from God.
